This month Birchbox teamed up with Women’s Health to bring us the “tiny tweaks, BIG Results” box.

In addition to the goodies, there is a postcard for a FREE 1 year subscription to Women’s Health magazine. For those who already subscribe, or just aren’t interested, they are offering a refund of $9.99!!

I’m happy with my box this month. I love all “Yes To” products and I just might be brave enough to try the eyeshadow. 🙂

I’m liking this month’s box. The theme is March Madness. Here is what I got.

*Beauty Extra*  Madewell for Birchbox ~ Emery Board. It’s a cute floral pattern. Super Springy. 🙂

Stella Cadente ~ Miss Me Eau de Purfum.  It’s a blend of peony, orange and silkwood blossoms. It’s powdery and fresh. I REALLY like it and shocked that I do. It’s not a scent I’d ordinarily like.

Serge Normant ~ Meta Revive Dry Shampoo.  The A-list stylist created this volume boosting mist to give second-day locks a lift. BONUS The subtle fragrance leaves hair sweetly scented. This does have a nice scent compared to other dry shampoos.

Caudalie ~ Premier Cru The Eye Cream. Uses caffeine and patented grape antioxidants to soften lines and reduce puffy dark circles.

Vasant ~ Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator. An exfoliating cleanser uses professional grade (read:effective) microderm crystals and papaya enzymes to brighten dull skin.

Ageless by Harvey Prince ~ YaY another perfume sample. UGH! I’ve had enough. Anyway… This is a blend of pink grapefruit, mango, pomegranate and jasmine. It’s not good, yet it’s not horrible.Full Size $55-98

My Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer ~ Rich with pilo and moringa oils, this healthy moisturizer gives skin a velvety matte finish that lasts all day. $68

Ke’ratase Masque Chroma Riche by L’Oreal ~ Designed to hydrate color-treated or dry strands, this nourishing mask has a built-in UV filter to keep highlights from fading. Full Size $61 This I do like and I’m excited to try it.

LASHEM Double Trouble Lash Mascara ~ An innovative fiber mascara that volumizes and lengthens even the sparsest lashes. Full size $19.99 Soo tiny!

Alessandro Cream Rich ~ Launching exclusively in the Birchbox Shop. This anti-aging hand cream is packed with grapeseed extracts to protect skin from UV damage. Full Size $20

Very festive and cute, but not too impressed with this month’s box. Included is a $50 credit to Rent The Runway.com, but there is nothing my size! You also have to rent something that is at least $125. BOO! Anyway.. Here is the rest of my Birchbox loot.

Number 4 ~ Clarifying Shampoo. Gentle enough for everyday use, this unique cleanser has a low-suds formula that removes buildup without stripping hair of essential oils. Full Size $32. My hair begs for conditioner so when I get samples of just shampoo I have no use for them! 🙁

the Balm cosmetics ~ Mary – Lou Manizer. Three-In-One highlighter, shadow and all-over shimmer. Full Size $24

What do you think of Birchbox‘s first home box?

This month Birchbox is supporting The Art of Elysium, a non-profit that encourages actors, artists, designers and musicians to dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling various medical conditions.

As with every month there is also a “theme” of sorts. This month is GIVE. Here is what my postcard read:

Thanksgiving has always been our favorite holiday, and not just because of the obvious food reasons. We’re all so busy — with work, with friends, with mastering our makeup techniques — that we sometimes forget to stop and be mindful of how lucky we are.  This month’s box is all about giving: giving thanks, giving back, and of course giving treats.

Here are my treats!

Marula ~ The Leaky Collection: Omega Rich Pure Marula Oil. It’s for your skin. The super high level of antioxidants are supposed to prevent signs of aging.  Full size is $78.

Archipelago ~ Pomegranate Body Soap. A Triple-milled soap loaded with antioxidant-rich white tea and pomegranate. Smells divine! Too bad I don’t use bar soap anymore. I just might have to use this one though.

ModelCo ~ FIBRE LASHXTEND Lengthening Mascara. FULL SIZE 🙂 Mirror on other side. This company is all about mirrors. Last month I got a ModelCo lipstick from another “box” and it had a mirror on it too!

Oscar Blandi ~ Pronto Texture & Volume Spray. (giveaway) My hair is super thick and these type of sprays just leave it a hot mess!

Last item is to “Give”. It’s John Varvatos Artisan cologne. I shall stick this in my boyfriend’s stocking! 🙂

I almost forgot. I got a little booklet to shop for gifts and a little purple envelope to put a little surprise in it for someone.

Not a bad month. The Mascara saved the day…er box.

For the month of October we got a choice of boxes. We could go with a regular Birchbox or with a “Goop” version. Since I’m always up for something new and different (umm one of the reasons I do sample boxes) I chose the Goop version. I’m happy that I did!

So was this month’s box worth $10. Meh I suppose so. I’m happy with what I got. I poked around the net and other gals weren’t as fortunate as I with their boxes. Goes to show you NEVER know what you’re going to get until you open your OWN box.
