Back in February POPSUGAR announced their newest Limited Edition box: the Resort box. It was supposed to ship by March 31st. Mine shipped April 5th. Not only that, I moved and evidently didn’t change my address in time, so they had to forward it. I just got it. I might add I had to bail it out of post office jail because they charged me $10.30 for having to “reship” it. I wasn’t home when the mail carrier stopped by. GRRR

Since mine was late I had to fight to ignore all spoilers online. Very hard to do, but this made getting the box extra fun. I loved the big sturdy black box and how everything was individually wrapped inside. It was like Christmas!

(not pictured) Instead of the usual pink tissue, this box was wrapped in blue. There was also the usual fold out card that listed all the contents.

Here is what I unwrapped.

 

 

 

 

 

Sisco Berluti ~ Bracelet stack. ($100) This bauble was made exclusively for PopSugar. Very beautiful and weighty. I’m not a “gold” person, but I love the turquoise part.

Cuyana ~ Turkish Towel. ($55) Made in Turkey from fine-grade cotton (super soft) and bamboo. It’s It’s superlight and ultra-absorbent not to mention HUGE. For some reason I can’t find the picture I took. I can’t take another because the cats have claimed it.

 

 

 

 

Epicuren Discovery ~ Tropical Lave. ($24) HUGE tube! I love it! Coconut oil & papaya extract are the two main ingredients. It smells AMAZING! Oh and you can use it as a shampoo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

R.B of McD #2 Clutch.  ($140) Another PopSugar exclusive. Made from canvas and leather. The other variation was all navy. I like mine better. 🙂

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clark’s Botanicals ~ Cellular Lifting Moisture Mist ($13.50) I’ve become obsessed with face/body mists. I love how they leave me feeling cool and refreshed.  This mist is suppose to minimize wrinkles, hydrate, heal sensitive areas and firm the skin. YaY!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Smashbox Cosmetics’s ~ The Santigolden Age: Double-Ended Limitless Eyeliner ($24): I am definitely going to trade this since blue and yellow eyeliner are just not for me. It is pretty though.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salty Road ~ Salt Water Taffy (salty caramel apple) ($6.50) This taffy is amazing! I will be hunting this down online to buy more. I’d like to try other flavors as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All together I came up with a value of $363 for this box. CRAZY!!   This is an estimated value though since two of the items (the bracelet stack and the clutch) are POPSUGAR exclusives and aren’t for sale anywhere. This is my LAST limited edition box. Great items, but not really my style. The only sure thing for me was the wash.

Anyway, this was a total splurge for sure!

BTW I e-mailed about the extra shipping. Long story short, I got an extra gift sent to me. I’d add it to next month’s box so you can see it.

Lily Lolo ~ Eye shadow quad ($32) Bronze. This is a limited edition eye shadow quad. I’ve never heard of this company. Then again I’m still new to Vegan cosmetics, for the most part. I love these colors. You can even use them as an eyeliner.

Jane Scrivner ~ Un Condition Skin Oil – Deluxe Sample ($5)

Kimberly Parry Organics ~ Creamy Cleanser 15 ml ($24) Coconut argan cleanser, high in sea minerals and vitamins. OMG I can’t wait to try this! I love coconut ANYTHING This is a nice size as well and will probably last awhile. At least enough to get a feel for the product.

Aside from the rollerball stinkiness, I am very pleased with this box. The value is amazing!

Memebox is a Korean company that curates boxes based on different themes.

They Have 5 types of boxes: Superboxes, Mini boxes, Naked, Memeboxes & Luckyboxes. Regular Memeboxes have a high total value with a random assortment of beauty/skincare items. They include full sizes with a couple of deluxe sized samples (4-9 products total). PRICE: $23.

Superboxes are brand themed or themed to specific beauty needs. They include all full sizes. PRICE: $32 – $7o.

Luckyboxes are a way for people who just discovered Memebox to try the most popular items from past boxes. Usually Memeboxes sell out in days so this lets customers try items they missed out on. PRICE: $23.

Mini Boxes were just released a couple of weeks ago. They include 3-6 deluxe samples and pouch samples. PRICE: $15

Naked Boxes are also a new type of box they just released which is only accessible if you were sent an email with a special link. Naked boxes aren’t a mystery like all of the other boxes. They list every item that will be included in the box. PRICE: $23.

Every box is a mystery except the Nakedbox but they sometimes release spoilers on their Facebook page. They don’t charge you automatically like most Subscription box companies. You get to pick and choose which boxes you would like to purchase and which you want to skip. Usually you have to preorder them in advanced and they tend to sell out  quickly.

They have pricey, yet high quality fabulous cosmetics.  Either one of these items alone is more than the cost of the bag!  I love the lip bomb (have several shades now.)

Laura Geller Italian Marble Lipstick (Sugared Maple) ($18) This is the entire reason I got this bag. It is so gorgeous! I’ve never wanted a lipstick this bad. LOL

LORAC ~ Lip Lustre Gloss (Ruby) ($15): This color is gorgeous! I’ve also come to love LORAC thanks to other subs.  Their coverage is great, it’s not sticky and it lasts a long time.  Just a great gloss!

Swoon Lip Gloss Reusable Wand ($15)  SERIOUSLY? Why didn’t someone think of this sooner? Or at least share with me!  You can use it with any gloss to get every last bit out.  FYI: You have to be gentle with this because it is easily breakable, so keep that in mind.

Lord & Berry ~ Shining Lipstick Crayon (Scarlett) ($16): This color is seriously CRAYON red!  YIKES! Not for me. Lord & Berry is a great brand though.

NYX ~ Lip Liner (Fruit Punch) ($4.50)

I moved last month and I’m STILL unpacking boxes. Imagine my surprise when I came across an unopened Total Beauty Box ! It’s the Fresh & Beautiful Collection .

This is one of my favorite Total Beauty collections. I absolutely love everything in this box and will use it all!

Tini Beauty Nail Lacquer ~ Shade, Parfait Amour.  This was one of the 6 shades you could have received. “Cool, creamy lavender nail lacquer. Glossy finish. Semi-sheer coverage great for layering. Full opacity in 2-3 coats.” Full size, retail $13.00 How did they know purple is my favorite color? 😛

Senna Cosmetics Lip Lacquer ~ Shade, Rock Candy.  This is a very sparkling sheer pink. “Super delicious vanilla flavor, amazing lasting power, and shiny formula in the richest colors. Conditions lips with Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil. ”  Full size, retail $19.00 The color scared the heck out of me, but for some reason I gave it a go. It went on sheer and not crazy pink like I imagined. Smells YUMMY too!

DHC ~ Deep Cleansing Oil.  This is a nice travel size.  “Dirt, excess oil, makeup—even waterproof mascara—and other pore-cloggers dissolve easily, leaving your face a grime-free zone that is soft to the touch. Its unique water-soluble formula rinses completely, so you’ll never see a greasy residue. Olive oil and vitamin E help ensure you won’t see dryness either. ” Deluxe sample, 1 oz, retail $5.50

Orglamix Pure + Natural Loose Color Concentrate ~ Shade, Rose Gold.  I love the color! It is a beautiful rose gold shade, not glittery at all.  “Rose Gold captures classic elements in unexpected ways: feminine and tomboy, easy and polished. Luminous and subtle, it exudes an immediate and incredible freshness, steeped in an intense and voluptuous sensuality, modernized with a tinge of twinkle. June Jacobs ~ Vanda Orchid Mist Toner Spray.  “Paraben and preservative free, this revitalizing toner is enhanced with an infusion of orchid extract to moisturize the skin. BH Cosmetics ~ California Collection Eyeshadow Palette. Shades are Hollywood (deep purple) Malibu (gold) and San Francisco (bronze).  BEAUTIFUL shades and a cute little palette. 30 wipes!

Nicka K New York ~ Lipstick. Shade “Daring.” The only thing I like about this is it’s paraben free. The shade is horrid. I don’t do reds AT ALL.

Bonnie Bell ~ Lip Liner. To be honest, I didn’t think Bonnie Bell still existed. LOL Is that good or bad??

I usually don’t get too bend out of shape over things like this, but PS is a rather spendy box for me. On top of having to wait for it, this was just icing on the cake. Oh, but I’m over it now. 🙂

I subscribed to My Kandy Box last fall so I don’t remember how I came across it. 🙂 

My Kandy Box is a fun monthly box service. They specialize in delivering 4 – 5 items to your doorstep every other month. The cost is $12.95 a month + free shipping. My only gripe is that they don’t do auto billing.  Because of that I keep forgetting to resubscribe. When I do remember, they are sold out. This is why I’ve only received October and now April. GAH!

This is the inside of the box. The outside was just a plan box with Kandy Box stamped on it.  MUCH bigger than the first one, which was just a bubble envelope.
